The starting point for was a 1964 solid brick wall house, which has been renovated and extended to suit one's own taste.
The building was extended with a second floor. The new floor is wood framed. The two parts join seamlessly with the help of a facade rendering done
over insulation wool in the traditional three layered method.

On the top floor the kitchen and living room form a spacious entity, which is divided only by the kitchen island and the fireplace.
The heat treated birch flooring continues out onto the balcony, extending the living room all the out to the balcony railing, instead of stopping at
the window.

Throughtout the house the floors are of heat treated birch, which was also used on the surfacing of the spiral staircase.
