The battenwork textures the concrete surface and indoors with light and shadow.

In the winter snow gathers in the battens which makes for surprising reflections and planes of light that alter the views.

A concrete house set into a block wooden houses, the house is clad in a wooden veil.

By day, the battenwork dominates the building shape.

By night, the red glow of the concrete comes up front.

the light silver grey battens are of rough sawn spruce treated with iron sulfate.

Between the two facade surfaces is a wooden walkway, which also acts as a support for the timber structure.
